Terms of Service
Last updated: October 30, 2026
1. Who we are
The rss2json.com website and API (the "service") are operated by rss2json.com ("we", "us"). By creating an account, using the API or buying a plan, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use the service for a company, you agree on its behalf.
2. The service
rss2json.com fetches public RSS and Atom feeds and returns them as JSON. Each plan has a number of API requests a day, a number of feeds, and a refresh interval, shown on the plans page. Requests above your daily limit are refused until the count resets at 00:00 UTC; nothing extra is ever charged. Requests without an API key are limited per IP address and per site.
3. Your account
- Give a real email address and keep it up to date: we use it for receipts, renewal reminders and important notices.
- Keep your password and API key private. You are responsible for requests made with your API key; you can regenerate it, and restrict it to your own sites or IP addresses, at any time.
- One person or organisation per account. Creating accounts to get around plan limits isn't allowed.
- You must be at least 16 to use the service, and old enough to make a binding contract where you live (or have a parent's or guardian's permission) to buy a plan.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service for anything illegal, or to infringe copyright or other rights (including under the DMCA);
- overload, probe or disrupt the service or the sites whose feeds it fetches, or try to get around rate limits, quotas or blocks;
- use the service to fetch content you aren't allowed to access, or to reach private networks;
- resell or re-host the API as your own service without our written agreement.
We may block feeds, requests or accounts that break these rules or put the service at risk.
5. Content and ownership
Feeds belong to the sites that publish them. We only convert and cache them; we don't claim any right in their content, and we don't check it. You are responsible for how you use the feeds you request, including respecting their publishers' terms and copyright. Publishers who want their feed removed can contact us.
The service itself, including its software, API, documentation and the rss2json name, belongs to us. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it under these terms, for as long as your account is in good standing.
6. Plans and payments
- Prepaid, no renewal. A paid plan is bought for a fixed number of months and paid once, in advance. Nothing is charged again unless you buy more time. When your time ends, the account returns to the Free plan, and we email you before that.
- Prices. Prices are shown in US dollars on the plans page, including any discount for longer periods. The price you pay is the one shown at checkout. Prices for future purchases may change; time you already bought is never affected.
- Payment. Payments are processed by our third-party payment processors. We never see or store your card or payment account details. Your bank or payment provider may apply its own fees or currency conversion.
- Upgrades and more time. Buying a higher plan starts it straight away, and the time left on your current plan continues after it, so nothing you paid for is lost. Buying the same plan or a lower one starts when your current time ends.
- Taxes. If a tax applies to your purchase where you live, it is your responsibility unless it is shown at checkout.
7. Refunds
If you are unhappy with a paid plan within 7 days of buying it, contact us and we will refund that purchase in full, for any reason, to the payment method that paid. After 7 days, purchases are not refundable, except where the law gives you a longer period or where the service didn't work for you. A refunded plan ends when the refund is made.
Please contact us before opening a dispute or chargeback: we answer quickly, and most problems are solved directly.
8. Availability, changes and no warranty
We work to keep the service fast and available, but we don't guarantee that it will always be available or error-free. Feeds can be slow, broken or blocked by their publishers. We may change, add or remove features; if we make a change that significantly reduces what a paid plan includes while you have time left, you can ask for a refund of the unused part.
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, to the extent the law allows.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as lost profits, data or business), and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
10. Indemnity
If someone makes a claim against us because of how you used the service or the feeds you requested, or because you broke these terms, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and damages that result, to the extent the law allows.
11. Suspension and closing an account
- You can delete your account at any time from your account page. Deleting it ends any remaining paid time; ask us first if you want a refund under section 7.
- We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, after a warning when the situation allows. If we close an account without a breach on your side, we refund the unused paid time.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. For significant changes we will email account holders before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be brought before the state or federal courts located in Wyoming. This doesn't take away the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live, or your right to bring a claim there where the law allows it. We will always try to solve a disagreement directly with you first.
14. General
- These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the service.
- If a part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a part right away doesn't mean we give it up.
- We may transfer these terms to a company we form to run the service, or to a new owner of the service, who will be bound by them. You may not transfer your account without our agreement.
